Starting Your Year Off Right: Black History Month and More…

Feb. Main
February’s Main Meeting was moved to 2/14 due to many of the leadership team being at the C.A.R. Winter Business Meetings in Indian Wells. We will be back on track in March.

February is Black History Month. As we open the month of February, we are called to remember the place from which we come and the injustices that have plagued the African American community as a whole. This month our Featured speaker at the main meeting is Shanta Patton-Gollar. Ms. Gollar is a vocal activist and educator in the DEI community. We have the honor of hosting her at our main meeting on February 14th. So come out and show her some LOVE on Valentine’s Day, 9am sharp, you don’t want to miss her speak.

The Sacramento Association of REALTORS® is committed to all things that are growth in the real estate industry. We are unique in that we support a community of Members that compete with each other every day. To be a good Member of the Association and also a good REALTOR® is what we are all about. Education is having their Realtor Boot Camp to get you back into the swing of things. Whether you are new to the business or have some miles on you, you can always learn something new. This series kicks off this week on the 3rd. On the 6th there is a class called Leverage the Purchase Contract to Win More Business. Sounds like something everyone can use.

On the 18th SAR’s CanTree Committee is having it’s Annual Crab Feed. Get your ticket before they are all gone. The 20th is Presidents Day and a holiday for SAR so the Association will be closed. The Young Professionals Network will be having their February Mixer in collaboration with the SAR Preferred Partners Committee at Oak Park Brewing on the 22nd from 5:30-7:30. This popular mixer is a great way to mix and mingle whether you are young or just young at heart. What a great way to meet your team of service providers and have fun too.

As always, I look forward to seeing you around the Association or out in the community.

Cherie Hunt
2023 SAR President
