Dear SAR REALTOR®and Affiliate Members,
Can you believe the end of August is upon us? While we still have four months left in 2022, your association leadership is aiming for a strong finish to the year, is very much engaged in planning for 2023.
A few key things we hope to roll out very soon:
- A member survey! It’s been about 6 years since we completed a comprehensive survey of our members. It’s long past time we asked you directly what you need from SAR. Please be on the lookout in the coming weeks for the survey – and please participate! We really want to hear from our members directly. And participants will be entered into a prize drawing as well.
- A comprehensive calendar for all association events in 2023. More on this later as we are still very much bringing the pieces together, but we hope to be able to provide dates and details for the significant events before the start of the year so our members can plan ahead.
- The new Affiliate Advisory Committee. In August the Board of Directors approved forming this new committee to coalesce our efforts to engage and partner with our Affiliate members. The first Committee members have been appointed and should start meeting in the near future. I really look forward to what they bring forward to improve our Affiliate program.
It’s also important you know that our brand new CEO Jessica Coates (in her second week on the job!) and our President-Elect Cherie Hunt spent several days in Chicago at a 2023 planning retreat facilitated by the National Association of REALTORS. Let me tell you – this dynamic duo will bring amazing things to our association next year.
It’s been such an amazing partnership with the Executive Committee (Samantha Tov, Cherie Hunt, and Kellie Swayne) this year, and as we look ahead to 2023 I am super grateful for their collaboration and friendship — and for continuity heading into 2023 to build on all of what we have worked so hard for this year to date.
