At the General Membership Meeting to be held on October 3, 2023 at 9:05 am, or as soon thereafter as it may be heard, the membership will be asked to approve proposed changes to Sections 1 and 3 of Article V of the Bylaws of the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® (SAR) to establish class of membership Company Preferred Partner Members and to remove separate dues billing for Preferred Partners. The Board of Directors of SAR has recommended approval of these changes. The proposed language of the change is as follows:
Article V – Membership
Section 1. Classes of Membership. There shall be six seven classes of membership: (a) REALTOR® Members: (b) Senior Members; (c) Institute Affiliate Members; (d) Company Preferred Partner Members; (d) (e) Individual Preferred Partner Members; (e) (f) Honorary Members; and (f) (g) Student Members.
Section 3. Dues Payable. Dues for all REALTOR® and Preferred Partner Members shall be payable annually in advance on the first day of January. Dues for all Preferred Partner Members shall be due and payable annual in advance on the first day of July. Dues shall be computed from the first day of the month in which a Member is notified of acceptance and shall be prorated for the remainder of the year.
