This year, the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® continued its heartwarming tradition of giving back through the annual CanTree Build. The event was a resounding success, demonstrating the incredible power of community and generosity.
Building the Tree of Hope
The CanTree Build kicked off early in the morning as a dedicated crew of volunteers arrived around 6:00 AM, ready to turn thousands of cans into a towering symbol of hope and unity. With meticulous planning and teamwork, the volunteers worked tirelessly until approximately 11:30 AM, carefully constructing a stunning tree made entirely of canned food.
The final result? A remarkable tree built with over 14,000 cans of food—each one representing a commitment to support those in need during the holiday season.
Making an Impact Beyond the Tree
The CanTree tradition goes beyond the impressive visual of a canned food tree; it embodies the spirit of giving. This season, the S.A.R. CanTree Committee donated an incredible $42,000 to the Salvation Army. This donation will help provide meals for families in need throughout our community, ensuring that no one goes hungry during this special time of year.
The Power of Community
The success of the CanTree Build would not have been possible without the unwavering support of S.A.R. members, volunteers, and the CanTree Committee. Together, their efforts highlight what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common cause.
As we look ahead to another year of service, we are reminded of the profound impact small actions can have on our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s CanTree Build—your efforts are truly making a difference.
Stay tuned for more ways to get involved and give back with S.A.R. in the coming months. Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more compassionate community.
