The Sacramento Association of REALTORS® gave $41,500 to forty-one deserving college bound high school seniors today. Scholarships are merit based and ranged from $2,500 to $500. The
forty-one students who earned scholarships have an average GPA of 4.25 on a 4.0 scale.
The Sacramento Association of REALTORS® annual scholarship drive has given $433,800 to 351 Sacramento area students since 2001. The REALTORS® yearly scholarship effort began in 1962.
SAR President Paula Swayne applauded the REALTORS® efforts to raise money for the scholarships, which is done throughout the year with different events at area real estate offices and at SAR, “The students awarded today show a very bright future for Sacramento, and the world. These students worked hard to achieve their goals, and are setting toward their next exciting path in life. Education is a powerful tool, and I’m so proud SAR can provide these great young adults a helping hand in achieving their next life goal.”
