This past Saturday, the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® rolled up our sleeves and got to work in Rancho Cordova as part of a powerful community revitalization effort. Partnering with Rebuilding Together Sacramento and NHORA (the National Hispanic Organization of Real Estate Associates), our members came together to help bring new life to not just one but two homes right next to each other.

We spent the day digging, planting, lifting, and laying down pavers. There were wheelbarrows full of dirt, a whole lot of sunshine, and even more smiles. SAR volunteers were everywhere hauling materials, repairing fences, organizing tools, and cheering each other on. With two neighboring homes in need, the energy was doubled and the sense of accomplishment was even stronger.
This project wasn’t just about fixing up houses. It was about showing up for neighbors who needed a little support. It was about creating safe, welcoming spaces for homeowners who couldn’t make these improvements alone. And most importantly, it was about working together REALTORS®, community leaders, and volunteers from all walks of life doing something that really matters.
While our team was hard at work in Rancho Cordova, our sibling organization AREAA (the Asian Real Estate Association of America) was making an impact across town on their own Rebuild Together project. The fact that two REALTOR® groups were out making a difference at the same time speaks volumes about the heart of our industry.

Events like this remind us that being a REALTOR® is about more than just real estate. It’s about community. It’s about service. And it’s about showing up when it counts.
Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made the day such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you—and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
