AREAA Women’s Panel: Educate, Elevate & Exchange
March 27 @ 11:00 am – 1:30 pm
AREAA and SAR have joined to host this fantastic Women’s Lunch & Learn event! This event will consist of a Women’s Empowerment Panel, featuring AAPI panelists, a delicious lunch with plenty of networking during a clothing swap party.
CLOTHING SWAP Party! Each attendee is asked to bring gently used/new clothes from their closet to exchange during the networking part of the event. Bring your good condition clothes, accessories, jewelry, shoes, etc. Rummage through your closets and drawers and find those items no longer in use… then swap them out for some fabulous “new to you” items.
Swap rules: Five items maximum, quality clothing only. Please no faulty or stained items.
All items left over will be donated to local Women’s shelters.
Optional shoulders and neck massage for those who reserve/pay in advance. This mini massage will work to restore, relax and revitalize your wellness.

Rejie Baloyos Executive Director of Asian Resources & AAPI Change Maker
Rejie Marie Baloyos is a Filipino immigrant who has dedicated herself to making significant contributions to serving underserved communities. Baloyos currently serves as the Executive Director of Asian Resources, Inc. (ARI). As an advocate, immigrant, and woman of color leader, Baloyos deeply understands the barriers faced by immigrants, trauma victims, low-income individuals, and communities of color. The Sacramento Bee’s Equity Lab, in partnership with the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders program (NELP), named Baloyos as one of the TOP 20 AAPI Change Makers in 2023. She is a recipient of the Advocate of the Year award from the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (CPEDV). Baloyos is a proud CORO Fellow through the Human Trafficking Leadership Academy. She earned a Master of Arts in International and Multicultural Education with an emphasis on Human Rights from the University of San Francisco.

In her parent’s donut shop, Lindsey learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the perseverance necessary to be a successful Realtor®. She also perfected the arts of self-discipline and consistency during her 12-year career as a competitive figure skater, waking before dawn every day to practice while most people were sleeping. Lindsey now uses these traits to serve her clients, and she lives by her ethics, drive, and determination. Lindsey studied at the University of California at Davis and achieved a Bachelor of Science in communications with a minor in technology management. Shortly after graduating, Lindsey became a licensed real estate agent and joined Portfolio Real Estate’s elite team. Yen Marshall My Sister’s House Interim Executive Director
Yen Marshall is a pioneering Executive Director with a lifelong passion for supporting survivors, community, and diversity & inclusion within the non-profit sector. As a culturally-attuned, trilingual leader, she leverages a deep understand of people to build efficient and effective programs that help those who need it most. For her accomplishments, Yen was recognized with the Sacramento Business Journal “2021 Women Who Mean Business Honoree.”, and the Sacramento Bee “2022 Top 25 AAPI Change Makers”.
Her career ignited at AT&T where she took the reigns with DEI program development and leadership. She stood as the primary voice to communicate the company’s mission to California legislators and regulators to influence policy, partnerships and change for the better. Yen’s reputation for excellence then took her to serve as National Executive Director for the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA), where she owned all aspects of
finances, staffing, partnerships, branding, and donor engagement. In her current role as the Interim Executive Director at My Sister’s House, she leads the vision and strategy to scale the non-profit organization and provide the best direct services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and human and sex trafficking.
Yen holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento. Over her 30+ year career, she has served as a Board Member and Board Advisor at many local and national non-profit organizations, including Women of AT&T Sacramento, InspirASIAN Northern CA Chapter, My Sister’s House, Expanding Your Horizons Sacramento, City Year Sacramento, College Track Sacramento, and Asian American Unity Coalition (AAUC). Yen plans to continue her path as a thought leader and innovator within the non-profit space.
