SAR Celebrates Graduating Interns and the Power of Mentorship

Yesterday, the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® hosted a heartfelt celebration at the Mack Powell Event Center to honor seven outstanding interns who completed the SAR Internship Program. Surrounded by mentors, leaders, and supporters, these graduates were recognized for their dedication, growth, and bright futures in the real estate industry.

Congratulations to Our 2025 Intern Graduates:

  • Anjali Gidda – mentored by Vanny Ouch
  • Nathalia Gonzalez & Sugandha Sharma – mentored by Cindi Cereceres & Joe Manganello
  • Maelahni Johnson – mentored by Crystal Lopez
  • Prabhjot Khangoora – mentored by Beth Flure
  • Arianna Ong & Ruqya Sadat – mentored by MayMay Huang

We extend our deepest appreciation to the mentors who make this program possible. Your time, guidance, and generosity continue to make a lasting impact on our industry’s next generation.

Special thanks to SAR leadership for attending and showing their support in person:
Marisol Tovar, SAR Director and Internship Committee Member; Sharon Robinson, Director; Kellie Swayne, Secretary/Treasurer; Connie Van, Director; Jessica Coates, Chief Executive Officer; and CJ Lynch, Professional Development Chair (not pictured). Your presence helped underscore the importance of mentorship and education within our association.

One of the most memorable moments of the event came from mentor MayMay Huang, who shared:

“Never did I imagine I’d be able to make such an impact on someone’s real estate journey—but today reminded me just how powerful mentorship can be.”

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Professor Butler, whose unwavering support and dedication to his students have helped shape this program since its inception. As he prepares for retirement next year, his leadership and influence will be deeply missed.

Thinking about becoming a mentor but unsure about the time commitment? Many of our mentors share the experience with a colleague, making the process flexible and deeply rewarding. If you’re interested in investing in the future of real estate, we encourage you to consider applying as a mentor.

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected industry, one intern at a time.
