The person I am is the City Councilwoman I will be. I bought my first home when I was 26 years old. I’ve worked hard to protect that investment. On the City Council, I will make decisions that protect our home values by improving our neighborhoods. In May, I’ll attend my 24-year-old daughter’s second college graduation. This time to witness her receiving the master’s degree she earned. My daughter’s work honors the values I taught her. On the City Council, I’ll make decisions based on those values. My aunt is a Deputy Sheriff. I admire what she’s done to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community she protects. On the City Council, I’ll reward first responders who do what she did. My stepdad is a retired Correctional Peace Officer. He earned a Medal of Valor volunteering his time to teach young men about life in prison and inspired them to stay away from gangs. On the City Council, I’ll expand our efforts to put young people on the right path. I have worked in state service for 20-years. I volunteer on our city’s Transportation Commission. I would be honored to represent our neighborhoods on the City Council.
