A Century of Service & Leadership
The Sacramento Association of REALTORS® was founded in 1908 as the Sacramento Realty Board with about 50 members. Over time, it evolved alongside the city, becoming a cornerstone of professional real estate practice.
What REALTOR® Means
In 1916, the term REALTOR® was formally introduced by the Minneapolis Board and later adopted by the national body to distinguish members who uphold a strict Code of Ethics, first established in 1913.
Today, SAR proudly serves over 8,200 REALTOR® members, while the national organization (NAR) supports over 1.5 million members who commit to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
